Use CAM to decrypt supported, authorized DVB services. Clear services do not need a CAM.

Manage SoftCAMsOpen CAM → Manage SoftCAMs, identify the connection used by the Adapter, and inspect its status before changing DVB tuning.
Add SoftCAMOpen CAM → Add SoftCAM, enter the host, port, credentials, and supported protocol settings, save, then assign it to the intended Adapter.

Validation

  1. Confirm the Adapter locks and discovers services without relying on the SoftCAM status alone.
  2. Assign the SoftCAM only to the intended Adapter or services.
  3. Verify ECM processing and clear output with an authorized channel.
  4. Check server time, network reachability, credentials, CAID/provider support, and entitlement when decryption fails.
